Revised August 14, 2016; October 1, 2018 (better audio format)

May 16, 2024: It is essential to chant suttās at a regular pace  without "too much dragging." In the following discourse (in Sinhala language), Waharaka Thero explains why it is necessary. That introduction is 14 minutes long, and then Thero chants all three suttās in #1 through #3 in one sitting to illustrate how to chant them properly.

  • Following are recordings of three popular suttās by a Venerable Thero and the corresponding Pāli texts. At some point, I will do English translations. Most existing translations provide only the mundane ("padaparama") meanings.

Please note that a few suttās are translated and discussed in the section "Sutta Interpretations."
